Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children® Fifth Edition (WISC®-V) is an intelligence test that measures a child’s intellectual ability and 5 cognitive domains that impact performance. The objective is to understand whether or not a child is gifted, as well as to determine the student’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses.
It provides the following scores:
A Composite Score that represents a child's overall intellectual ability (FSIQ).
Primary Index Scores that measure the following 5 areas of cognitive functioning:
1- Verbal Comprehension Index (VCI),
2- Visual Spatial Index (VSI),
3- Fluid Reasoning Index (FRI),
4- Working Memory Index (WMI),
5- Processing Speed Index (PSI).
5 Ancillary Index Scores are also provided:
1- The Quantitative Reasoning Index (QRI).
2- Auditory Working Memory Index (AWMI),
3- Nonverbal Index (NVI)
4- General Ability Index (GAI)
5- Cognitive Proficiency Index (CPI).
Your child will be asked to visit our clinic for a two-hour assessment session. It takes around a week for us to fully analyze your child's data and generate a report. The reports are very comprehensive and can be used to determine giftedness, identify strengths and weaknesses, and provides educators and caregivers with tips on how to best help their child learn.
Assessment costs 2,000 AED for a comprehensive 15-20 page report with indivudalised guidance and recommendations.
